The AIPMO IPMO Specialist Certifications credentials certify specific expertise necessary for International PMO’s to be effective. These certifications enhance the individual professional’s abilities and talents in a specific area of interest. AIPMO-IPMO are applicable in the general Project Management domain, such as Risk Management, Business Case Writing, and Decision Making but also in the bigger arena of the Management of Science.

The IPMO Specialist Certifications examination tests the ability to identify those elements and parameters through an emerging learning process with the intent to give a vertical perspective of the particular subject over the portfolio, program, and project. The Specialist Certifications are valid for three years. After this period the professionals can decide to renew the AIPMO membership or to retake the course.

BC-IPMO (Business Case Writing) International PMO Certification

Writing Effective Business Cases for Business Development, Project Portfolio Environments, and Individual Initiatives

The certification for effective business case writing and approval within and outside of a project, program, portfolio management, is one of the most important of the specialist certifications granted by the   Association of International Project Management Officers (AIPMO)®. Good financial planning and management is the backbone or every successful organization and PMOs provide an active role to help facilitate business cases with high standards of accuracy, source transparency and reliability, produced using appropriate tools and techniques.  

Certified BC-IPMO® Business Case professionals have demonstrated, through a combination of formal training and competency assessment, that they have an in-depth understanding of the principles behind an effective business case and why it is needed. They understand how to manage complex processes to create robust, successful business cases, consistently and efficiently using a business case writing framework.

 This is the first business case certification that covers all three levels of a project, program, and portfolio, aligned with the PPP lifecycles. This course certification is uniquely designed to build a principle-driven case building culture in the organization, i.e., the course is designed to enable improvement in business case competency and benchmarked in AIPMO’s Business Case Maturity ModelTM.

SC-IPMO (Services and Capabilities) International PMO Certification

The Services and Capabilities (SC-IPMO®) international specialist certification from AIPMO – (Association of International Project Management Officers) is based on the AIPMO PMO Services Lifecycle FrameworkTM and the PMO Capabilities underpinning the framework.

The certified SC-IPMO specialists will have demonstrated, through a combination of formal training and competency assessment, that they have an in-depth understanding of how to identify the need, select, adapt, pilot, implement, use and improve Enterprise-wide PMO services and PMO Service topologies to create a lasting impact on organizational performance.

TT-IPMO (Tools & Techniques) International PMO Certification

The Tools and Techniques (TT-IPMO®) international certification from AIPMO – (Association of International PMOs) is based on  research undertaken over a period exceeding three years, to understand, define, and structure a collection of techniques and tools which when mastered, will greatly increase the chances of successful outcomes for your project, program, portfolio (PPP) and PMO initiatives.

Certified TT-IPMO will have demonstrated, through a combination of formal training and competency assessment, that they have an in-depth understanding of the definitions, types, and structures of PPP and PMO T&Ts. They know the practices including how to identify the need, select, adapt, pilot, implement, use and improve T&Ts whilst taking a holistic T&Ts topology view across – project types, the organization, and its partners.
